Simpleology Blogging Course

Yesterday accomodated some time for me to be able to work through some of the Simplelogy Blogging Course sessions [see reference in the left side-bar]. These were very educational and informative. I look forward to learning about how to be a better blogger and how to network for the purpose of connecting with and inspiring others, and I being inspired by others as well. It'd be cool to make a little money along the way too ... I didn't know you could do that with your blog! If you want to learn more, check this out:

Crawling Out of the Pit to Feel Great in '08

Well, I made the financial commitment and started NutriSystem on January 7th. I've lost 2 pounds to date (see tracker at bottom of blog), but I know it will take a lot of work to get off what I have had 15 years to put on. I started gaining weight when I with my first son, and have put on about 60 pounds since. YIKES! This picture was a wake up call to how heavy I've gotten and how tired I look. Time to make changes! I'm reading Beth Moore's book, "Get Out of That Pit: Straight Talk about God's Deliverance". WOW! It is awesome, and so needed in my life. I had not realized the pit I had allowed myself to side into. I have definately not been completely freed of the pit, but I am committed to not sinking any deeper! To confirm that it is God's voice that is speaking to me about taking better care of myself, and to convince me to begin recognizing the pit I am in, He echo the truths I've learned in Beth's book through my daily devotion, Girlfriends in God. Mary Southerland has been doing a series on "Hope in the Midst of Depression", and she also talks about the pearls of "pit dwelling". WOW! How can I ignore what God is trying to get through this thick skull? This is going to be really hard, but I am so ready to feel better, have more energy and enjoy being with my boys. I've done well with my diet, but my exercise has been sporatic; however, I am working at being more consistant with it as well. With God's help, I will be a more fit, more energetic person this time next year. Anyone want to join me on this journey? Anyone else tired of being at the bottom of the pit?
